Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of my Adoption Day! Mommy and Daddy threw me a party! Mommy Sarah came over with my foster brother Tussot, and her current foster doggy Filou! I was so happy to smell them at the door that I stopped alert-barking right away. Filou is a Bodeguero like me, and needs a forever home. Mommy Sarah brought me a great big chewy, and a stuffed bunny with a squeaker!
Rembrandt and his mommy came over too! It was doggy chaos in my apartment! She gave me a cute little sweater, which is good because it's cold here and I don't have very much fur on my tummy!
Some other friends like Jakob Hartmann and Carl-Eric Menzel came too, but I didn't pay as much attention to them because they didn't bring doggies.
After all the people finished having coffee and cake, we went up to the park to play! It was even more doggy chaos up at the park, because it was the time of day when a lot of people bring their doggies to the park. We met an older couple with a little doggy about my size named Aquita, and she turned out to be from the same rescue as me! What a small world!
We also met the pug named Daphne and her mommy Margarita! I don't like Daphne, because I can tell Mommy thinks she's really cute, and I get jealous. I barked and barked at Daphne, and she barked and barked back at me, but then Mommy and Margarita took us for a long walk together, so eventually we got tired of barking. Then we went home, and I realized Daphne was IN MY SPACE, so I barked and growled at her again. Mommy put me in the living room with Daddy while she talked with Margarita, and I was so upset! I could hear Mommy, but I couldn't see her or smell her! So unfair!
Eventually Margarita and Daphne left, Mommy came and let me sit on her lap, and I was sooooo tired after a long and busy day because I went right to sleep. Mommy must have been tired too, because she went to sleep really early, like before my evening walkies! This meant she was too tired to make me sleep in my bed when I got back, so I got to sleep with Mommy! It was a good day for this little doggie!
